On Dec. 21, 2015, Partners Old Dominion University (ODU) — represented by ODU President John R. Broderick — and William & Mary Virginia Coastal Policy Center (VCPC) — represented by Director Roy A. Hoagland — and Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) — represented by Dean John T. Wells — stood shoulder to shoulder (see photo above) with the McAuliffe Administration as the Governor shared with the media the recommendations of his Climate Change and Resiliency Update Commission.  It’s top priority:  the creation of a “climate change and resilience resource center.”  The Governor embraced this recommendation and proposed funding for its establishment as a joint project of ODU, VIMS and VCPC in his budget. The Governor described this center as a unique initiative seen no where else in the world.
